These great knitting bags are hand made here at Midwinter Yarns using genuine vintage fabrics dating from between the 1950s and 70s.
The bag measures a generous 24cm across the top, 25cm deep and has a 10cm wide base to allow it to stand on its own while you work on your project, comfortably holding up to 300gr of yarn. Perfect for smaller projects like socks, hats or simple shawls.
All bags are made with cotton or cotton/linen fabrics, lined with a sturdy, bright cotton and closed with a woven cotton drawstring secured with a sliding wooden bead.
"Zing" is made using a fantastic 1960s fabric featuring great big psychedelic swirls in shades of lime green and olive in a white background. This fabric was found completely unused, still on the bolt, so the colours are really bright and clean. It has a lovely barkcloth structure and is lined with a matching light green cotton canvas.
Our project bags are made using one-off, upcycled fabrics, so when they are gone, they are gone.
Due to the age of the fabric, some small faded patches or seam lines may occur. Pattern placement, ribbons and bead colours may vary from bag to bag.
